The title relates to what these nails remind me of, the stamp would probably be better suited a cool colour range, in aqua or turquoise I am thinking these would look like a mermaids tail, in the hot pinks I used it looks a bit odd!
The base is Barry M Gelly Hi-Shine in Dragon Fruit with Pomegranate used for the stamping.
Over the top of that I added a coat of CND Effects Raspberry Sparkle.
Overall, it's quite a pretty look but I am annoyed that I didn't use this stamp with other colours for an under the sea themed look.
This is gorgeous! Would love to try this out x
ReplyDeleteI once had a bright idea to stamp using Pomegranate... but it was the exact same colour as the rubber pad so I couldn't really see if the image had transferred correctly.
ReplyDeleteI have an XL Stamper which is white so it shows up fine, but I still swap back to my Konad stamper when I stamp white for exactly the same reasons, it's impossible to stamp if you can't see where the image is!
DeleteI really like this colour scheme, although I do agree an underwater theme would be amazing.
ReplyDeleteIt would look nice with other colours but I like the pink also. What stamp did you use?
ReplyDeleteIt's GA14, from the GALS Princess set, I did a review of the plates here: http://pieseyes.blogspot.co.uk/2013/01/gals-princess-stamping-plates.html
DeleteYour nails are amazing! I'm so rubbish at nail art!
