Nails Inc Fine Sprinkles - Warwick Street

Earlier in the week I showed you the Fine Sprinkles collection from Nails Inc that I picked up in TK Maxx.  Today I have a full nail of the day post featuring one of those polishes, Warwick Street, a jelly cream base crammed full of multi-coloured micro glitter, or as Nails Inc likes to call them fine sprinkles.

These pictures are just two coats and the polish is wonderfully opaque, you could almost get away with just one it covers so well.

The polish applies smoothly and dries pretty fast too which is an added bonus and although the glitter is a tiny bit rough it's easily smoothed out with a generous coat of top coat.

On first inspection I would say the fine sprinkles are in a white base but in some lights it seems to lean a mauve or lilac sort of colour, I'm not sure if that's the colour of the base or just the sprinkles making it look that way, either way it's very pretty.

The fine sprinkles collection is a softer more subtle little sister to Nails Inc's Sprinkles collection which I posted about HERE.  The fine sprinkles give a more subtle, gentler look than their rather more in your face big sister collection.

I really like this polish, it's a more subtle glitter look with a nod to recent indie collections which feature glitter suspended in creamier bases, I can't wait to try out the other 3 in the set, if they're half as pretty as Warwick Street the set will have been the bargain of the century!

My Stamping Set Up.

Just a quick post to show how I set myself up to get ready for stamping.

I find it easiest to have everything set out in front of me; polish, top coat, image plate, stamper, scraper, cotton wool and cotton bud (both soaked in remover).  I also like to have a piece of kitchen roll down so I don't need to worry about any of the polish coming off the plate and getting on other things.

A lot of people like to work at a table but I prefer to lean on a large hardback book and cushion while sitting back on the couch.  As much becasue of laziness as a lack of space for a table. ;)

Sleek Ultra Matte Palette - V2 Darks

I love matte shadows and I love i-Divine palettes so when I saw that Sleek were releasing two all matte palettes I knew I had to have at least one, although I am still very tempted by the brights too.

The palette consists of 12 matte shadows in a variety of (darker) colours.

I am a big fan of Sleek shadows and in particular their palettes.  The colours in this one are great and I love the fact that all the shadows are matte, sometimes I find shimmery and glittery shadows a bit too bling for daily work wear.

Unfortunately I am finding the formula a little difficult to work with so far.  The shadows seem to go a bit muddy if you blend them too much and being darker colours they do need blending.

I've only used the palette a couple of times so far so i am hoping it's more to do with my cack handed, rushed attempts than the quality of the product as I really like the colours and think I could get a lot of use out of the palette.

Sleek Blush by 3 - Lace

I have been keen to try one of these Blush by 3 palettes since they were released a few weeks ago and when Superdrug's 3 for 2 offer came back on I decided it was time.  I'd recently seen a mention of the Lace version on a YouTube video saying that the middle colour was a dupe of Orgasm by Nars and since I had been considering trying a few darker and bolder blush colours and have always wondered about Orgasm I thought that Lace would be a good option.

My initial impression was that the colours were very dark and bold, and seemed to have great colour pay off.  Just from swatching them on my hands they were very vibrant.

The palette comprises of a bright orange, crochet, the shimmery peach Orgasm dupe, Guipure, and a cherry red, Chantilly.

Swatches on my arm.  The colours are quite a way away from the sort of blush I tend to use and I think they will take some getting used to.

The colour pay off is incredible, they are so highly pigmented that only the tiniest amout is required.  So far I am still a little scared of the colours as they are vwey bright and I'm a bit of a blusher newbie but hopefully in time with a bit of practice these will make a great addition to my collection.

I'm definitely tempted to try out another at some point in the future as the quality of the product is excellent for the price (£9.99).

Urban Decay 15th Anniversary 24/7 Eyeliner Set

I have been waiting for this set for a while. I love Urban Decay 24/7 liners and this set has previously unreleased colours and is a really good bargain for eyeliner addicts like me:

The set includes full sized pencils in:

Stray Dog - shimmering brown taupe (new shade)
Corrupt - dark metallic brown with silver glitter (new shade, previously in a mini set)
Bourbon - medium brown with gold sparkle
Midnight Cowboy - beige with gold sparkle (new shade)
Baked - bold bronze
Stash - dark olive with gold sparkle
Mildew - deep mossy green
Perversion - blackest carbon black (new shade)
Electric - bright aquamarine blue
Binge - deep metallic navy blue
Ransom - bright iridescent purple
Asphyxia - pinky iridescent purple (new shade)
Rockstar - darkest eggplant
Zero - zealous black
Uzi - gunmetal grey with sparkle (new shade)
An Urban Decay pencil sharpener.

These pencils are normally £11 each, so that's £165 worth of liner alone in this set, before you add in the sharpener, which are usually about £8. It retails for £60 (although I found a discount code when I ordered online so it came to even less) which in my mind is a pretty good deal. There are several pencils which I am running low on and this set tops them up and adds several new shades to my collection.

I'm really pleased with the set and can't wait to try it out. It's a great starter collection for people who are into their coloured liners or a really good top up if you, like me, love to have lots of eye liner colour options.

Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil Swatches

Eventually! I am the proud owner of the new Super Stash set from Urban Decay:

I was slightly concerned that a lot of the newer colours were doubling up on the existing ones in the line so I have done some comparison swatches. The names are on the photos and should show up better if you open them in a new window.

Ransom & Lust.
Ransom actually seems brighter and more vivid than Lust which shocked me, I was expecting it to be a bit darker and less vivid, definitely a different shade though which is good:

Underground, Bourbon, Corrupt & Oil Slick.
Underground is darker than I expected, which I am pleased about, though lighter than Bourbon. Corrupt is a good bit darker than Bourbon. Oil Slick is black but with quite a bit of glitter in:

Binge, Deviant, Covet, Flipside & Electric.
Binge is navy, although not dark, dark navy, it's darker and less vivid than Deviant. Covet is a lot more teal than the others and darker. Flipside is turquoise, and quite a light, matt shade. Electric is the lightest of all:

If you'd like to see side by side comparisons of two colours other than these ones, let me know!

Urban Decay 24/7 - New Sets

More exciting news!

Urban Decay have released more 24/7 liner sets, the most exciting looks to be 24/7 Super Stash, which is described as such on the UD site:

Urban Decay say: You asked for more! This set includes NINE mini-sized 24/7 Eye Pencils, including FOUR shades exclusive to this set: Corrupt (brown sparkle), Binge (navy – finally!), Eldorado (a new gold), and Oil Slick (black sparkle). Also included are your favourites Zero, Graffiti, Ransom, Rockstar and Stash.

I saw it in Boots at lunch, and it does look fantastic, the only downside being a lot of the colours are regular shades I have and the exclusive shades are quite similar, a quick run down:

Corrupt seemed pretty similar to Bourbon, possibly a touch darker.
Eldorado didn't look too different to the other golds available; Baked, Honey and Lucky (though Lucky is more of a copper shade). Eldorado may be more of a yellow gold, but it’s hard to tell without being able to try the pencil.
Oil slick looked nice and lighter than Zero which is their black black. It’s definitely much darker than Gunmetal.
Binge, the navy one looks fabulous, really lovely colour and irritatingly just what I am looking for. The question is do I hold off in the hope they release a full sized pencil or buy the kit to make sure I have one!

The set is only £18, in Boots, and the colours are brilliant, definitely a good one for people who want to try a few different pencils, there are a lot of good ones included.

They also have two more smaller sets, which I didn't see in person, they are on the US site though so I expect they'll come over here:

HiFi

Mildew in this set, the exclusive one, looks like it could be lovely; a darker and more true green and probably a bit less in your face than Graffiti.

Stereophonic

The exclusive plum, Crash, in this one looks very close to the plum ones they already have 1999 and Lust.

Both of the smaller sets also have a glitter liquid liner in, which are great for a more sparkly party look.

So, in conclusion, more lovely goodies from UD and definitely something to be added to the Christmas list, if you, unlike me, you can wait that long!
